I strongly believe the greatest leap I ever took as a writer was getting myself a book coach. Her feedback reshaped my entire view of the writing process and led to my journey of becoming an editor & book coach myself!
We all get stuck somewhere in the writing process—and besides that, it gets lonely, writing all by ourselves. A book coach can help get you out of that rut and moving forward with targeted lessons, experiential advice, and genre-specific expertise.
As your book coach, I can help you with a multitude of problems:
If you're stuck with writer's block, I have a whole slew of tricks up my sleeve to get you writing again.
If you're lost in the drafting process, I can give you direction.
If you feel like you're editing your manuscript on repeat and can't seem to stop, I can lay the groundwork for taking your next steps forward.
If you can't seem to carve out the time to just sit down and write instead of scroll, I can come up with a system to help you do just that.

I firmly stand against the use of generative AI in the writing process. All manuscripts, outlines, and writing pieces submitted to me must not contain the use of AI, or the contract is forfeit. I include anti-AI clauses in our contract.

How it works:
01) Optional Coffee Chat
We'll have a coffee chat via Google Meet to discuss your ideas, goals, timelines, writing problems, deadlines, budget, and anything I should know about you and your story. In the process, you'll get to know all about me and the work I do!
After the call, I'll put together a sample contract and send it your way. From there, we'll communicate any final changes to the project details. Find an example contract here.
Note: I will NEVER put your manuscript through an AI system. I include this clause in our contract!

02) Signed Contract & Completed Deposit
Once we've ironed out the details, I'll send over a final contract for you to review and sign. Find an example contract here.

03) Coaching Begins
We will schedule coaching sessions as you need them, whether it be on a recurring basis or as you need them. Each session will be 30 minutes-1.5 hours at a time. Anything beyond 1.5 hours, in my experience, becomes overwhelming, so I limit it to that timeframe.
I will always communicate with you if I need to reschedule a session. If you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, simply let me know via email or text (I will give you both forms of contact).
4) Payments & Testimonial Request
I will invoice you after each session and/or after each service I complete (for example, editorial assessment or outline review). Payments will be due within the agreed upon timeframe (i.e., 7 days after the invoice is sent). These details will be reinforced in the contract.
After a considerable work period is completed, I will send you a testimonial request, which will be a simple Google Form asking about your experience working with me. I really appreciate any feedback you can provide—this both helps me improve as a writer/editor and helps future clients when deciding to work with me!
FAQs
If I cancel a session, is there a charge?
Nope! I understand that life happens, especially if you're a parent like me. That's why I don't charge until after the service is completed.
How much does it cost?
Coaching session are $60/hour and all associated review services (for example, editorial assessment, outline reviews, and lesson planning) are $30/hour.
What if I decide I want professional editing services?
Awesome! I offer developmental editing, line/copy editing, editorial assessments, and proofreading. Combining these services with book coaching can greatly strengthen your manuscript. Find out more about my editorial services here!

Find my Business PayPal link here. I can also accept Venmo, Zelle, and others forms of payment if you can't do PayPal for any reason.
I do payment plans for authors who request them. Your payment plan can be as flexible as you need.
